Situated in typical rural Cornish countryside, its location is quiet and peaceful with fine views over traditional stone walled fields to the sea beyond. The spectacular cliffs and South Cornish coastline featuring some of the finest sandy beaches in Cornwall are just a mile away. On the eastern edge of the Roseland peninsula and just a mile from the coastal footpath, Mount Pleasant Farm offers an excellent base for walks through stunning scenery. Sections of the coastal path are owned by the National Trust, which includes the promontory headland of Dodman Point. These pathways allow you to see the traditional farming methods still followed today and the wildlife havens they have formed. Three lovely unspoilt beaches are near by. Ideal for children, Porthlune beach is only one mile away. It is our nearest beach and has easy access by car. The back drop of the picturesque Caerhays Castle completes the scene. Probably one of the best beaches in Cornwall is Vault beach, a mile of unspoilt silvery sand. Another excellent beach is Hemmick with its sheltered coves, sandy beaches and crystal clear rock pools. Both are no further than three miles away. You will find within two miles our nearest villages of Gorran Churchtown and Gorran Haven with shops, post offices and pubs. Gorran Haven has some old fishermen's cottages, a secluded cove and a little harbour, a haven for the fishermen of old. It has two lovely beaches and good parking facilities. Mount Pleasant Farm is Cornish Tourist Board approved, and the proprietors are vegetarian. Please contact us for details of special yoga weekends, complementary therapies, and special rates for vegetarians and vegans. Jill Bayley
