Les Peyrouses is an ideal place to revitalise your body, open your heart and expand your soul whilst communing with the glorious oaks and unspoilt nature. We receive guests from all over the world for individual stays and groups.

Les Peyrouses, in the heart of Cathar country, is only 2kms from the village of Bonnac, from "bon aqua" meaning good water, which was renowned for its "spring of rejuvenation".

Here we celebrate life and the vital elements: the warm vitalising sun, the fresh air and water, and the abundance of mother earth. You, too, are invited to join us in this celebration!

François and Julie Gerland each have over 25 years experience in the field of personal development. François currently works as an airline captain as well as being a trained hypnotherapist. Julie, English from Hong Kong, also specialises in the mind/body connection as hypnotherapist and hypnobirther, and she is currently training in natural nutrition. Christina Frewen, who is German and has lived in New Zealand, is a trained physiotherapist, infant massage instructor and reflexologist. She has been involved in personal development for the last 16 years.

So whether you need a quiet spot to rest and restore, a programme to stimulate, explore, walk or simply BE... we'll leave you alone or help you make up a programme to suit your needs. We offer bright, colourful accommodation for up to 8 guests as well as healthy, tasty international cuisine and a selection of natural therapies such as reflexology, massage, stress management and hypnotherapy. Les Peyrouses is a smoke free domain.

We offer personal development and professional courses in reflexology, Languedoc Flower Essences, hypnotherapy, massage and much more. Full details on request. Weekly self-catering fully equipped accommodation for 6-8 is available in July and August.

The Joy of Eating

Meals are experienced here as a communion with nature. We tend to be more vegan than veggie these days. When possible we use fresh organic produce and products including from our own veggie/herb garden, fruit trees and bee hives. Our 2 or 3 course meals are nutritious and tasty. Organic wine, fresh vegetable/fruit juice and hot drinks are included. We usually cook with a specially designed steamer that doesn't heat over 95° C allowing the food to sweat out toxins whilst keeping valuable nutrients intact. We use the best quality oils and the full spectrum of colours in our sun-gorged ingredients. Special dietary requirements such as gluten, sodium or sugar free are catered for with joy!

Les Peyrouses is in the department of Ariège, just 6kms north of Pamiers, approximately 1 hour drive from the cities of Toulouse and Carcassonne whilst Andorra and the Mediterranean are only 1 1/2 hours away. There are many things to do and see in this rich cultural, historical and spiritual region of France.
