La Vie En Rose is a brand new guesthouse, catering exclusively for vegetarians, and we are accepting our first guests from Whitsun this year (2005).

Having been vegetarians for many years, we found that trips to France often presented some difficulty when we wanted to eat out. So the idea of sharing our quality vegetarian cuisine, as well as offering excellent accommodation and, perhaps most importantly, extending a warm welcome to our guests, would enable other committed vegetarians to make the most of their holiday in this lovely country.

Our guesthouse is a carefully and tastefully converted barn, where we have tried to retain original features such as beams and exposed stone in order to create a comfortable, authentic building with character.

The spacious, tastefully furnished double rooms each have en-suites with showers.

We are situated at the point where the Charente, Limousin and Dordogne all come together, near the small market town of Montbron.

This situation offers many opportunities for exploring castles, caves, markets, interesting towns and cities such as Limoges and Perigeux or some really delightful countryside, either on foot or bicycle (which we have available to hire).

For the more active there is an 18 hole golf course just 1km away, plus horseriding, swimming or canoeing all within a 10 minute car ride. We can provide you with a reasonably priced packed lunch for your day out, as well as complimentary routes for cycling and walking. Wherever you go you will not fail to notice the abundant wildlife in this, the most unspoiled part of France.

A 20% B&B deposit secures booking, which will be held for two weeks. This can be paid by cheque in Euros or Sterling. If you are paying in Sterling we will use the exchange rate of 1€37. Should this be greatly different to the rate at the time of your holiday we will adjust it when you are here. Therefore the deposit for a couple staying 7 nights will be 113€ or £82. We ask that the balance be paid in cash in Euros at the end of your holiday.
