We are a Dutch couple, Lydie and Willem, and we have completely restored the farmhouse in the original style. The house is at 750m with beautiful views of the Mézenc mountains. In this region every season has its own charm: an abundance of flowers, butterflies, birds (buzzards, pheasants, kites), foxes, deer, wild strawberries and blackberries. Most relaxing is the ever present rural quietness, an old farmer who likes to have a chat, a flock of sheep crossing your path. We are about 1 mile from a small village in the middle of the hilly landscape.

We offer full board (B&B, lunch, dinner) week-long stays all year round in spacious ensuite rooms, or in a cosy loft. There is also a caravan available, which we have in a beautiful spot, dominating the valley, or you can bring your own tent and camp on our 6 hectares of land, where you may be watched by curious deer. We receive a maximum of 10 guests at the same time to guarantee a personal and peaceful atmosphere.

Our 100% vegetarian (or vegan) food is a delight! We start you off with a good breakfast of homemade jams, yoghurt and muesli, and a packed lunch to see you through the day, and offer a 5 course evening meal to crown the day. We use organic products in our creative menus from all over the world.

Our region is a paradise for nature lovers and walkers. Nature hasn't yet been touched by man's hand. All walks are very well marked and we have maps and all the route descriptions you need. Don't be afraid that walking in this old volcanic landscape is too heavy, as there are walks from 600m - 1400m, and you have the choice to take an easy walk or a more demanding one. When you come home you can relax and exchange ideas with our other guests, an international group of nature lovers, who all agree on La Garnasette being a little paradise.
