Brambles, a former hotel, was purchased in 1998 as a family home and has undergone decorative refurbishment throughout by the present owners John and Angela Anderson.

We are now pleased to invite you to our home, the Isle of Wight's only totally VEGAN Bed and Breakfast accommodation with optional evening meals. We offer a smoke-free environment, but regret no pets. Well-behaved children are welcome.

The en-suite bedrooms include tea and coffee making facilities, colour television, clock radio and hair dryer. For your enjoyment and relaxation, the Soda-bar Lounge provides a range of soft drinks as well as tea and coffee. Breakfast consists of fresh orange or apple juice, cereal with soya or rice milk, fresh or dried fruit, French bread or toast, warm scones or soda bread and a selection of preserves. A cooked breakfast of vegan sausages, marinated mushrooms, tomatoes and toast (£3.50) is available on request. We are not licensed to sell alcohol, but you are welcome to bring your own table wine to accompany your evening meal.

Packed lunches are available on request at £4.50 per person.

Brambles is set in a quiet location, with just a 5 minute walk to miles of sandy beaches in one direction and, in the other, Shanklin town centre with its many interesting shops and lively theatre. Shanklin Old Village, with its quaint thatched shops, houses and historic inn, is also host to the picturesque illuminated chine walk.

This is an ideal location for ramblers and cyclists, who will enjoy the magnificent countryside just waiting to be explored.
