Ardwyn B&B

Ardwyn B&B

vegetarian establishment   organic food is used when available

Ardwyn is a late Victorian house, offering accommodation in a smoke free environment. It is the perfect place for those who enjoy walking, cycling or sight-seeing in clean, fresh country air, and those who enjoy good vegetarian cooking. Our accommodation is comfortable and well equipped, and the atmosphere welcoming and relaxed.

Paula has been a vegetarian for many years, and is passionate about the quality and freshness of our food and the needs of our guests. All food is freshly prepared and we can cater for special dietry requirements. Although we are exclusively vegetarian, meat eaters are welcome to sample the delights of our meat-free cuisine. With prior notice we can also provide a set three course menu for dinner and/or packed lunch.

A Sample Menu

Lentil, roast garlic and lime soup

Stuffed field mushrooms with lemon rice

Pear and almond tart

In The Area

The Gower Peninsula is only fifteen miles away, and the Black Mountain is only seven miles away. Both provide excellent facilities for the walker or cyclist.

Wales is also well known for rugby and other sporting activities, opera and cultural events, caving, diving and other outdoor activities. We are happy to advise on local events and activities.

Ardwyn is the perfect base for the keen walker. Whether strolling, hiking, trekking or running, Wales has among the most beautiful scenery in the world.

From Llyn Llech Owain Country Park and visitor centre, just a short walk away, to the Black Mountain, coastal paths and national parks just a quick drive away, you can be sure to find a route to suit your needs. If you are lucky, you may even see a red kyte!

There are some famous long distance walks in Wales:

  • St Davids walk - 250 m (400 km)
  • Offa's Dyke walk - 168 m (270 km)
  • Cambrian Way
  • Glyndwr's Way - 120 m (195 km)
  • Pembrokeshire Coast Path - 180 m (29km)
  • Wye Valley Walk - 107 m (172 km)

Wales is the perfect place for the keen cyclist. Apart from the obvious attraction of freestyle mountain biking there are numerous tracks, paths, unspoilt villages, empty roads, organised rides and facilities for those who love the outdoors and the clean air.

Below are just a small selection of places to visit (and their contact numbers) during your stay at Ardwyn.
